Combing text graphics elements you are to create an innovative and informative infographic piece on the subject of your choice from the following board areas – sporting achievement, politics, food and diet or history.
Infographic are use to Give over information about a topic through the use of images and diagrams. With the Infographic brief it gave use a change to look at different subject that we think could create 2 pieces one being interactive and the other to be like a poster.
When coming up with and idea I looked into many other different infographic and I was finding it difficult to pic a topic that I can create 2 infographic for. I first thought that I wanted to start doing and infographic on Cat. with there different breeds of cat that you are able to get. The interactive aspect would be the list of the different breeds and when clicking of different areas of the chat i would bring up different facts about that breed of cat. However after long extended thinking I decided that The information that i would use for both of the info graphics would be the same however is different layout. What I wanted for mine was to have the same topic with different information on each other them.
With still trying to figure out and idea/topic for my infographic I listen to a piece of music with a video with it about homeless veterans.

Which gave me inspiration with creating an infographic with using the information on the Video and other information that was sources from various charity websites that support the veterans. With the Idea of Creating the infographic i wanted to use image/ diagrams to show the information linked with the image.
Final Designs
Poster Infographic
For my poster infographic I wanted it to have the look of that it is a poster that has covered over the USA flag. However for a corner of the ‘poster over the flag’ Is slowly coming off. For that I wanted to give the message of that americas are in a way to proud to think about what their soldiers are going though and no one is ‘ Folding the corner back over and letting it fall away. On the design for each of the different bit of information I wanted it to like with a piece of information. Such as the information on the homeless population. I though with just justing a circle pie chart would not fit even show the topic. So to using the solider helmet as the pie chart worked.
On the infographic most of the image/diagrams are what I created using the pen tool in Photoshop. However the image of the soldier that is on his knees I took from the internet. I did try to trace the image of the soldier but the image has fine detail in the image that I was not able to get the lines and curve on them to look like the image I wanted Which is what i also did for 2 images in the interactive infographic as well.

Interactive Infographics
With the interactive infographic I had the idea of it to be used on a charity website where you are able to click on the small icons that surround the soldier cross hen you click on the icons There is a flying blue box that appears with A ‘Fun fact’ Piece of information. When designing this interactive infographic I had it in my mind to make it simple if a child was looking for information for homework or to find out about solider. With the use of having these small flying fact they could understand the information and relate it with the symbols. What I would do though to enhance and move this interaction further, would be so that if then the image was double clicked another screen would come up, like file screen with more information on that topic they click on or to have I linked to another section on the website so that they could find more information there.
